    • Separating soiled linen, balancing by weight, and loading 200lb. washers.
    • Utilizes all washer settings and uses proper settings for type of soiled linen.
    • Unloads washers of clean linen in Clean Core side of the laundry and load dryers.
    • Utilizes all dryer settings and uses proper settings for type of clean linen.
    • Operates Wet System Finisher for patient clothing and uniforms.
    • Performs record keeping duties to include paper and computer files.
    • Sorts clean linen to assure proper distribution throughout the facility.
    • Fill in for others as needed to assure uninterrupted laundry service.
    • Perform cleaning duties in the assigned area.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm (Please note: Work schedules will be based off the needs of the facility and will be determined by management.)

    Qualifications

    PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: The employee is required to stand for the entire tour of duty and is required to have quick hand and arm movement. The employee is required to handle bundles of laundry up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds. The employee must possess the limited ability to bend, stoop, climb and reach. The employee may be required to stand on hard concrete floors. The employee is exposed to extremely noisy and usually hot and humid conditions. The employee will be exposed to rapidly varying climate conditions when moving from one area of the laundry to another. The employee is exposed to disagreeable odors and possible infectious organisms from soiled linens. May be subjected to minor cuts and bruises from carts and machinery. The employee is required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of gloves masks, gloves and gowns and any other protective clothing as is indicated.

Your knowledge, skills and abilities will be compared to the knowledge, skills and abilities (called job elements) needed for success.
