Our new, private, state-of-the-art laundry facility is looking for skilled, energetic employees to help make Northwest Arkansas a five-star vacation destination! Entry level positions starting at $13.00/hr. to $15.00/hr based on experience and ability to produce quality execution.
In this position, you will be responsible for organizing, cleaning and sorting linens, including sheets and towels. Laundry attendants oversee and operate washing machines and dryers for industrial or household items. These may include personal clothes, linens, blankets, draperies, rugs, and other household items. You will learn different techniques to wash and dry fabrics and materials of various colors, materials and sizes, along with efficient folding techniques. All training will be provided on site if needed. You will report directly to our shift manager who will guide you through best practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Sorting, washing, drying, and folding clothing and other textile items including linens
- Removing stains from items using the appropriate inhouse procedures
- Tracking which items belong to orders
- Keep an updated inventory of laundry being received and delivered
- Ensure that the facility always remains clean
- Load laundry into washers and dryers at regular intervals
- Regulate machine processes when starting washers and dryers
- Work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints and deadlines
- Organize laundry by type, loaded on carts and put up neatly on the linen storage racks.
Requirements and skills:
- Experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced, repetitive motion production area
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Capacity to lift at least 35 pounds unaided
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Available to work variety of shifts and on weekends
Physical Demands:
- Be able to stand for at least 90% of shift
- Bending, twisting, stacking, pushing and standing for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity of hands and wrists
