Laundry Attendant / Houseperson
This position is for 2 days Laundry Attendant and then 2 separate days as the Hotel Houseperson.
Duties as a Houseperson Include:
- Clean and maintain common areas, and hallways according to established standards
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks in public areas.
-Maintain pool area.
-Collect all trash, including parking lot trash.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and cleaning products
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing duties
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene
Duties as a Laundry Attendant include:
- washing and drying all the hotel linen.
-Stripping Housekeepers rooms as needed.
-Maintaining laundry room (sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning filters, employee bathroom).
-Maintaining the housekeeping supply closets (stocked and cleaned).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles preferred
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping practices and procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and industrial cleaning equipment is beneficial
