Laundry Manager manages the daily operations of a laundry services department. Assigns and reviews the work of laundry employees engaged in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging and delivering laundry to various departments or guests. Being a Laundry Manager may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a hotel manager. The Laundry Manager supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Responsibilities :
- Ensure that the facility remains clean and orderly at all times through tasks such as mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Assist customers with using washers, dryers, and vending machines to ensure a great experience
- Clean and change dryer lint, as well as take out trash multiple times per shift
- Test and address reported issues with machines, marking out of order if necessary
- Record and report issues with washers, dryers, and vending machines to management
- Anticipate and respond to customer queries, concerns, and complaints in a friendly manner
- Restock soap vending machines, toilet paper, and keep inventory of cleaning supplies
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role
- Ability to solve problems and address minor issues with machines
- Good soft skills and customer service orientation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Reliable vehicle and driver's license
- Punctual and shows up to shifts on time
