Laundry Manager - Healthcare manages the daily operations of a laundry services department for a healthcare facility. Assigns and reviews the work of a laundry employees engaged in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging and delivering laundry to various departments. Being a Laundry Manager - Healthcare may require a high school diploma or its equivalent or in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Laundry Manager - Healthcare supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Responsibilities:- Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items for our residents.
- Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
- Performing minor sewing duties.
- Tracking which items belong to whom.
- Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing supplies.
- Informing the supervisor when laundry supplies are running low.
- Ensuring that the laundry area remains clean and safe at all times.
- Upholding the company's high standard of service.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work shifts and weekends.
