The Landscape Architecture department of Barry Isett & Associates (Isett) is looking for a team-orientated and personable Project Manager to oversee, develop, and direct all aspects of planning project activities within the department.
The focus will be on client and team management, team mentorship, technical report writing, public participation and presentations, and creative design solutions to exceed our clients’ expectations. Diverse projects include concept plans, master plans, park recreation and open space plans, trail networks, urban planning, feasibility studies, and the like.
This position can be based out of any of Isett’s nine offices, with the opportunity for a hybrid remote work schedule.
Our ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills and will be responsible for managing projects from proposal phase through completion, including invoicing and collections and will oversee, coordinate, and mentor associates involved in the project.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with elected/appointed officials/clients or other decision-makers
• Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve less well-defined planning problems
• Group facilitation skills for use with community workshops
• Ability to provide effective supervision and staff mentorship and project management
• Ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines
• Ability to facilitate in-person and virtual public participation activities
• Advanced knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices & techniques of planning and landscape architecture
• Well-developed knowledge of one or more planning disciplines, such as land use planning/zoning, parks and recreation planning, transportation planning, environmental planning, urban design, housing, historic preservation or economic development
• Knowledge of principles, methodology, practices of research and data collection
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in landscape architecture, planning or a related field
• Shall be a registered Landscape Architect, Planner, and/or Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) OR have more than ten (10) years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Active in the community and/or professional societies.
• Fluent in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and scheduling software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, 3D rendering programs, GIS and other mapping production-based software programs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license since travel to project sites, client meetings, and agencies will be required.
• Willingness to attend, as needed, evening and occasional weekend meetings
• Ability to obtain PA clearances/background checks, if required by project
