Landscape Architect Manager supervises all related activities of a staff of landscape architects and technicians. Oversees, manages, and schedules the development of exterior spaces and physical environments, the development of schematic designs and construction details, and is ultimately responsible for final project. Landscape Architect Qualifications
A formal education in landscape architecture and / or notable experience in landscape design preparation and construction installation. Professional registration is preferable but optional. Hand drawn or CASD assisted design graphics are acceptable.
Applicant must possess the ability to construct residential design base sheet to scale which may include structure and tree locations, topographic and storm water drainage issues and easement restrictions.
An applicant must possess experience preparing and managing residential landscape design plans which may include the following
* Plant selection and planting techniques and an understanding of soil types and water requirements.
* Planting bed design and edge material construction
* Courtyard design and material selection
* Stone water feature of various sizes design and construction
* Outdoor patio and a variety of fire pit patio styles and materials
* A variety of wood arbor and visual screen designs
* Timber frame outdoor kitchen designs including appliance placement and counter design
* Experience in construction supervision including interaction with irrigation, electrical, plumbing and engineering professionals.
* Ability to coordinate with city building officials regarding preparation of project permit application documents and inspection follow-up
* Initial interaction with clients to discuss their goals and landscape design concepts
* Ability to prepare thorough cost proposals and present them to clients
* Project management of construction, budgets, invoicing and collections
