The Hardscape/Landscape Production Manager’s primary focus is to manage the crews, maintain and manage department equipment, and oversee installation process from project scheduling to project completion.
Responsibilities
· Follow project design and job orders from conception to completion.
· Direct all aspects of landscape installation operations.
· Schedule site quality control checks visits for crews to assess the quality of work.
· Mobilize multiple equipment types from jobsite to jobsite while maintaining accurate equipment locations.
· Provide each assigned crew instructions at the beginning of each day and set the expectations.
· Assist in employee recruitment, hiring and termination as necessary.
· Manage department equipment including, but not limited to power tools, hand tools, and vehicles, and ensure they are properly used and maintained.
· Maintain client relations after project kick-off and resolve issues in a timely manner.
· Ensure all project work complies with required standards and regulations.
· Order and/or pick up materials in a timely manner for jobs.
· Manage and maintain all required paperwork (i.e. service tickets, vehicle and equipment inspection logs, expense reports, home builder lot list completions, etc.)
· Perform checks of H2A and H2B housing to confirm cleanliness and upkeep.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills
· At least 3 years of landscape and hardscape experience in a supervisory role
· A working knowledge of landscape construction, including grading, drainage, hardscape installation, and the ability to read and understand elevations on site plans.
· Verbal and written communication skills to be an effective team member, to provide excellent customer service, and to maintain job documentation.
· Horticulture knowledge including identification of plants.
· Ability to drive a skid steer, dump truck, and trailer.
· Valid PA driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT Physical with a clean driving record.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
· Ability to stand, bend, lift, and kneel.
· Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
· Valid PA Driver’s License, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Salary
Salary to increase after 60 days if proven to be timely, handle work load, be professional, and have a "can do attitude."
