Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Working within our Construction Management department, the Construction Manager is responsible for successfully managing and delivering projects on time and on budget on behalf of our various clients from preconstruction planning to post construction closeout. The Construction Manager is responsible for supervising and mentoring the project engineers, inspectors, and project staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent field from an accredited college
· 10 years of experience managing successful construction projects. Experience working on Department of Transportation – Airports Division projects will be given strong consideration
· Professional Engineering or Architecture license, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification is preferred
· Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and familiarity with scheduling software
· Strong interpersonal and public relations skills working effectively with project staff, clients, community organizations, and government agencies
· Strong communication and technical writing skills
· Able to read and interpret project drawings and contract specifications
· Attend public meetings and represent our client and our company as needed
· Motivated, self-starter, and results-orientated who can work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
· Able to work at various project sites with ability to travel inter-island occasionally
