`Aubertine and Currier Architects, Engineers & Land Surveyors, PLLC is seeking a highly motivated field technician to join our survey department to perform field work for various surveys including bridge, highway, and site topographic surveys, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, and machine control services. Previous experience is preferred, but this could be an entry level position for the right candidate.
Aubertine and Currier is a small multidiscipline firm located in Watertown, NY. Aubertine and Currier is a NYS Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the NYSDOT.
The Survey department regularly performs highway, bridge, and transportation design topographic surveys, NYSDOT construction surveying and layout, site engineering and utility engineering design topographic surveys, aviation design topographic surveys, aviation construction surveying and layout, pre and post construction as-built topographic surveys, volume and quantity calculation surveys, GPS site calibrations, machine control setup, geodetic control surveying, and various boundary surveys.
The following skills, experience and education are preferred:
· A.A.S. in Surveying Technology or B.S. in Surveying Engineering (Preferred)
· Two years’ experience performing field surveys (Preferred)
· Experience using GPS/GNSS and robotic total station surveying equipment
· Traversing and differential leveling experience
· Experience taking clear and concise field notes with sketches
· Experience with typical construction means and methods is beneficial
· Boundary line reconnaissance and marking property lines
· Willingness to work hard, learn, and grow in our company
· AutoCAD experience is beneficial, but not required
Candidates must be motivated and able to work well with others as part of a survey field crew. This is a field position where the candidate would be working directly under a survey party chief, with the opportunity to grow and advance with experience.
Salary is dependent on experience.
