Land Surveyors Manager manages and coordinates surveys and investigations of land surfaces. Ensures compliance to all applicable regulations and requirements including boundary calculations and legal issues. Being a Land Surveyors Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to land surveying team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Land Surveyors Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Land Surveyors Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Location
The area we operate on in the Huron-Manistee National Forests are on the western side of Michigan's lower peninsula. Its north of Grand Rapids, MI and just south of Manistee, MI and Cadillac, MI. Alternately, this area can be reached within a days drive north from Chicago, IL or northwest from Detroit, MI. A diverse area that includes facilities surrounded by the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area, the Ludington Dune Ecosystem, the sand beaches of Lake Michigan, the Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary, and the North Country National Scenic Trail.
