Land Support Agent Supervisor jobs in Asheville, NC

Land Support Agent Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the support and administration of all land related activities. Prepares special reports as required by management, reviewing all other specialized reports as well as lease and royalty paperwork, coordinating changes or corrections as required. Being a Land Support Agent Supervisor serves as a liaison to the legal department and land purchasing department to ensure that there are no land title or other land related issues.     Department: Land of Sky P20 Council
    Reports to: Land of Sky P20 Council Executive Director

    The P20 Council works under the official capacity of the Land of Sky Regional Council and strives to increase
    postsecondary credential attainment that leads to gainful employment in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, and
    Transylvania Counties in Western North Carolina.

    General Statement of Duties
    The Administrative Support Specialist supports the P20 Council department with a variety of administrative
    support and stakeholder communication and contact duties.

    Distinguishing Features of the Class
    Work includes word processing, data entry, filing, relaying information, and/or maintaining records. The employee
    is expected to have a general understanding of the department and its services to respond to inquiries and
    perform the daily functions; non-routine questions or situations are referred to others. Specific oral and/or
    written instructions are available to apply to most work situations. Work is performed under regular supervision
    and is evaluated through observation and conferences for quality, effectiveness, and customer service excellence.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Essential Duties and Tasks

    • Assembles meeting packets, sets up / breaks down meeting rooms, and arranges catering.
    • Creates documents including forms, RQFs, surveys, minutes, agendas, newsletters, reports, brochures,
    social media posts, fliers, and posters; proofreads materials for typographical or spelling errors.
    • Operates standard office equipment.
    • Maintains distribution lists for the department.
    • Attends organization, department, and P20 Council meetings and events as requested.
    • Reviews and verifies records, reports, maps, applications, or other documents to ensure that information
    provided is thorough, accurate, and correct.
    • Registers participants and tracks RSVPs.
    • Compiles information using standardized forms, procedures, or specific instructions; enters information
    into spreadsheets, databases, etc.
    • Procures goods and services as directed and communicates with staff in other departments (e.g., Finance)
    as needed.
    • Schedules social media campaigns / posts.
    • Exercises initiative, creativity, and independent judgment carefully in managing projects.
    • Develops correspondence including letters, memos, emails, and faxes.
    • Is responsive to other duties that may be assigned by the Executive Director.

    • Working knowledge of Windows operating system; Wordpress; word processing, spreadsheet, and
    presentation software; email newsletter, form, and survey apps; publishing tools.
    • Skill in technical writing and basic research techniques.
    • Ability to change tasks or priorities quickly and maintain accuracy level.
    • Working knowledge of P20’s programs and services.
    • Knowledge of the stakeholders in the region.
    • Ability to manage a multitude of projects.
    • Skill in customer service including problem-solving and conflict resolution.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and by email.
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
    • Ability to type and/or enter data with accuracy at a reasonable speed.
    • Ability to set priorities and to manage time effectively.
    • Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to learn and apply digital filing systems and to arrange and place files into a proper sequence.
    • Ability to compile information from data processed or records kept.
    • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a variety of people, including business leaders,

    education leaders, government figures, the general public, coworkers, and supervisors.

    amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.

    • Must possess the visual acuity to prepare data and figures, to operate a computer, and to read extensively.
    Desirable Education and Experience
    • Graduation from high school and at least one year of administrative support experience involving public

    contact and document production, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
