Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a construction project in Norfolk, Virginia.

- Project: highway

- Estimated length: 8 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the candidate in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Job Description: Land Surveyor with highways experience. Important to have drone experience (LiDAR) and certificates (Pass FAA Part 107) to operate drone in US.

- Responsibilities:

• To carry out land and office tasks.
• Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys. Verifying data and calculations.
• Recording results of surveys.
• Calculating the measurements of sites.
• Writing descriptions of property boundaries.
• Researching legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify information.
• Stakeout points on site.
• Monitoring.
• Data Collection.
• Leveling.
• The surveyor is required to frequently inspect and supervise job operations and may be exposed to ongoing construction.

- Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a land surveyor in road/highway/ heavy civil construction projects.
• Drone experience and certificate.
• Specific Software User. Total Station, Level and GPS expertise user.

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly
