Core Laboratory Supervisor (ASCP) Position

Job Description :

• Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the core laboratory, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking.
• Supervise laboratory staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure quality testing and efficient workflow.
• Monitor laboratory procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including CLIA, CAP, and AABB.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, equipment, and reagents, coordinating procurement and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to resolve technical issues, implement new testing methodologies, and enhance laboratory services.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, proficiency testing, and accreditation processes.

Education and Certification Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, instrumentation, and quality control practices.
