Position Title: Laboratory Analyst
Reports To: Laboratory Manager/Senior Analyst
Position Overview:
The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for preparing samples for analysis, preparing reagents, and maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory.

Required Qualifications (Work Experience and/or Education):

● Must be 21 years or older
● Must be able to pass a background check

Position Requirements:
● Must pass basic urine drug test
● BS in one of the chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university; or
● 2 years of college coursework from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of full-time, practical experience

● Experience working with basic laboratory equipment such as pipettes and balances.

Desired Qualifications (Work Experience and/or Education):
● Experience working in a high throughput chemistry or microbiology testing laboratory.
● Experience working in a cannabis testing laboratory.
● Experience working in an ISO 17025 or other accredited laboratory.
● Experience working with a LIMS.
● Experience with sterile technique for working in the microbial laboratory.

Responsibilities and Duties:
● Prepare samples for analysis according to SOPs.
● For microbial sample preparation, sterile technique must be followed.
● Prepare reagents for sample preparation and sample analysis.
● Follow all policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations and ISO 17025 Standards.
● Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory. Maintain, clean, and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment.

● Recognize issues that need to be brought to the Laboratory Manager or Laboratory Director’s attention.

● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed.
● Assists with in-house calibration checks, as needed.
● Assist with consumable and supply inventory.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
