- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently
- Collect and analyze samples, such as blood, urine, and tissue, using aseptic technique
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples from patients
- Utilize laboratory equipment and instruments to perform tests and interpret results
- Maintain laboratory quality control and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results
- Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and techniques
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
- Valid certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and instruments
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and analyzing results
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and patients
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus
