Additionally, Laboratory Services Director orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Laboratory Services Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Responsibilities

    The Vice President of Laboratory Services is responsible for facilitating the design and implementation of the delivery of laboratory services, developing and recommending strategies to improve services and clinical outcomes, reaching established goals, maintaining satisfactory outcomes and contributing to the business plans and financial goals of the organization. The individual will be responsible and accountable for ensuring company compliance with all criteria mandate by appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies.

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    Required qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry
  • Current and unrestricted Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
  • Multi-state acute care health system experience
  • 5 years of management experience within a hospital environment
  • 3 years of acute care Laboratory experience
  • Preferred qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills / professional presence with ability to lead and drive change on a national scale

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $290,000.00 to $340,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus program. Discretionary bonuses, if any, are based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to individual and Company performance.
