Micro-Methods Laboratory is a nationally accredited environmental laboratory located at 6500 Sunplex Dr in Ocean Springs, MS.

We are looking for a dependable technician to work in our Wet Laboratory. This is an entry-level position.

The ideal candidate must:

• Be proficient with data entry
• Be able to work independently
• Possess a strong work ethic
• Have the ability to successfully multitask while maintaining process integrity
• Be able to read, interpret, and adhere to written procedures as set by the laboratory and other regulating agencies
• Adhere to safety and quality protocols set by the laboratory

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing samples, standards, and reagents according to specified procedures
• Monitoring laboratory equipment
• Calibrating and maintaining instrumentation and laboratory equipment
• Adhering to SOPs and EPA (or equivalent) reference methods
• Performing quality control and maintaining required quality standards
• Candidates will be trained in-house on all assigned procedures and analyses.

The candidate must possess (at minimum):

• High school diploma

Preferred qualifications:

• A degree or background in science; or
• Prior experience in an environmental laboratory setting.

Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Some weekend work may be required.

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
