Laboratory Services Director jobs in Arlington Heights, IL
Laboratory Services Director manages the daily activities of the laboratory. Develops laboratory policies and procedures and issues updates as needed. Being a Laboratory Services Director plans and designs experiments. Estimates the time and resources needed to complete projects. Additionally, Laboratory Services Director orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Laboratory Services Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Description: Sanford Federal is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Laboratory Director to:
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in scientific research, leadership, and management roles within a research laboratory, academic institution, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of federal regulations, funding mechanisms, and compliance requirements relevant to research laboratories and DOE-funded facilities.
Job Requirements:
- Master of Management-related field.
- PMP or related certification is required.
- Minimum of 10 – 15 years of experience related to Scientific research.
