Laboratory Manager manages the daily activities of the laboratory. Develops laboratory policies and procedures and issues updates as needed. Being a Laboratory Manager plans and designs experiments. Estimates the time and resources needed to complete projects. Additionally, Laboratory Manager orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Summary:
Meyer Laboratory is a nationwide chemical manufacturer located in Blue Springs, MO. Job Duties:
- Average 6-8 sales/service calls per day
- Delivering product to existing customers from local warehouse
- Sell add-on product to customers
- Perform manual and physical tasks daily
- Administrative duties including order processing, inventory, Accounts Receivable management
- Blue Collar/White Collar – boots and blue jeans while dealing with executives
- Travel up to 250 mile radius in territory weekly
- Potential for 2 overnights a month
Territory Coverage:
- Will County, IL
Required Qualifications:
- Field Service Technician, Account Management, or Route Sales Experience
- Excellent work history
- Committed to team-oriented outcomes and quality customer service
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Mechanical Aptitude: Minor Electrical & Plumbing
- Able to learn how to rebuild pressure washers, car wash type arch systems and chemical dispensers – training provided
