Medical Laboratory Scientist: For MT/MLS a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or related field. MT/MLS, college or university in a Medical Laboratory. Documentation of education must satisfy current federal, state or accreditation regulations relating to the classification of Medical Technologist. Must have knowledge of laboratory medicine and basic laboratory instrumentation, hospital and laboratory regulations, policies and procedures. Minimum of one year experience in all areas of a Clinical Laboratory setting. Documented completion of internship in a nationally accredited school of Medical Technology may be substituted for the required one year experience. Must have a certificate (ASCP, AMT) of MT or MLS registration from a nationally recognized organization of laboratory medicine.
