    Job Purpose:
    The Information System Specialist assists in the management of all activity related to the capture and management of applicant information at all stages of the enrollment funnel (prospect through enrollment) with the goal to improve continuously the operational and technological aspects of the undergraduate and graduate admissions processes and for ensuring the timely and accurate management of data. The Information System Specialist will support analytical efforts and reporting to inform data-driven decision making in the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management.

    Essential Duties:
    • Work closely with Director of Enrollment Operations and Information Systems as well as other office leadership team to ensure effective development and use of the Slate CRM system used by the office for the outreach, recruitment, and admission processing of undergraduate and graduate applicants including connections to the Universitys student information system, Banner

    • Assist in maintenance of Slate elements including forms, events, rules and portals to ensure continual functioning of admissions processes

    • Assist in implementation of new Slate functionality and other process efficiencies for both undergraduate and graduate admissions

    • Serve as a technical liaison between offices of Admissions and Information Technology, and serve on appropriate data and technology committees

    • Manage yearly and ongoing updates and application content on the Common Application and Slate applications

    • Responsible for oversight of annual first year undergraduate application reading and admission notification processes within the Slate CRM and Banner

    • Manage and oversee the undergraduate admission decision letter generation and notification processes. Provides staff and student employee training and instruction on Banner and Slate letter generation processes and ensure accuracy of completed items

    • Assist in graduate admissions processes within the Slate CRM and Banner

    • Fulfill requests for data and data-related elements related to student recruitment, outreach and admissions using SQL and other query/reporting tools

    • Member of team overseeing data quality control measures within and between Slate and Banner systems

    Additional Skills Required:
    • An understanding of the core principles of marketing, recruiting, admissions and financial aid

    • Outstanding organizational, technical, analytical and project management skills with demonstrated attention to detail

    • Familiarity with relational databases including Banner and CRM systems

    • The ability to interact and work with students, faculty, administrators

    • Demonstrated ability to use written and verbal communication, public speaking and counseling skills persuasively

    • Ability to organize and implement programs

    • Must be able to support the Universitys commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture

    • Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the Universitys Catholic and Jesuit mission

    Minimum Education Requirements:
    Bachelors degree is required

    Preferred Education:

    Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
    • A minimum of three (3) years of progressively more responsible experience in admissions or enrollment

    Preferred Qualifications:
    - Minimum of two (2) years experience with Slate CRM preferred- Experience with SQL, CSS and Java computer languages preferred

    Schedule/Work Hours:
    Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Additional hours as required.
