Additionally, Laboratory Assistant assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials and the ordering and stocking of materials and equipment. May be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. I. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, the Phlebotomy Lab Assistant provides phlebotomy/accessioning service, utilizes appropriate equipment to collect, receive, accession/,process pathology and laboratory specimens, as well as provide laboratory information and reports to customers. Assists in the training and monitoring of co-workers, students, and other hospital staff.
