Laboratory Assistant jobs in Clay, NY

CNY Fertility Center Syracuse is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to assist in day- to -day operations in the laboratory. The successful candidate must enjoy a fast-paced setting and must be a detail-oriented and flexible team player. The position is full time Monday through Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM.  Saturday morning shifts may be occasionally required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Scheduling of all Embryology Procedures and Fert Checks (Retrievals, Donor Retrievals, Fresh Transfers, Frozen Transfers, Embryo Thaws, Oocyte Thaws)
• Maintain Procedure Schedule
• Complete & Maintain Task List
• Complete & Maintain Sample Shipments
• Complete all Embryo & Oocyte Freezing paperwork
• Maintain Media & Plasticware spreadsheets
• Obtain and file all Certificates of Analysis for Media & Plasticware
• Complete all clerical work associated with Embryo/Oocyte Donation/Disposal once reviewed by Sr. Embryologist
• Become proficient in eIVF and all its uses
• Loading client reports into charts (Summary Letters, Cryo Reports, etc.)
• Loading PGT reports into charts and tasking Embryologists to call client
• Answer all Embryology Lab phone calls
• Assists in stocking Embryology Lab supplies

Education:

B.S. Degree in Medical Technology or biological science. 

Skills and physical requirements:

Excellent customer service skills

Strong computer skills

Position requires prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, and requires lifting up to 30 pounds or more.
