The Jackson Laboratory is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant IV to support the Director for the Center for Biometric Analysis based on site in Bar Harbor, Maine!

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Perform administrative duties for an individual, group, or department.
• Prepare reports, meeting minutes and correspondence.
• Create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
• Manage schedules, arrange appointments and itineraries.
• Coordinate meetings, travel, conference calls, and complete expense reports.
• Answer and transfer phone calls.
• Remain knowledgeable of business unit policies.
• May make contacts of a sensitive, complex, and confidential nature.
• May work for one or several department professionals, division heads, officers, or managers.
• May mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High School diploma and knowledge of administrative processes as would typically be acquired through 6-10 years of work in a senior management support environment.

College degree preferred.

• Able to multi-task on a variety of assignments while remaining focused and professional. Needs to be flexible and adaptable in dealing with changing priorities and tasks.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to exercise initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a high-profile environment requiring discretion, judgment, tact, diplomacy and highly intuitive.
• Detail oriented with exemplary time management and follow-up skills.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office software include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as strong computer literacy to learn multiple science databases and software systems.
• Demonstrated ability to be a positive team player across diverse internal and external organization.

Pay Range : $55,429 - $92,802
