Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in accurately handling and processing all laboratory specimens, ensuring specimen integrity by adhering to Lab Works laboratory procedures. The Lab Assistant must adhere to Lab Works guidelines including specimen receiving, handling, rejections, and storage. In addition, a Lab Assistant must follow Lab work safety policies and procedures and proper protective equipment guidelines. Moreover, the Lab Assistant must help with inventory, supplies, cleaning, and any office duties, including answering phones, following up with any client (s) issues, and running errands related to the work's place.. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Duties:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior laboratory staff
- Prepare samples for analysis, including blood sampling and processing
- Conduct various laboratory techniques such as PCR, CT, immunoassays, and other molecular biology assays
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate records of all tests performed
- Assist in data analysis and interpretation
- Adhere to strict quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
- Assist in the management of laboratory inventory and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Experience with PCR, CT, immunoassays, and other molecular biology assays
- Proficiency in data analysis skills
- Familiarity with clinical trials and research protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Aseptic technique for handling samples and maintaining sterile conditions

Requirements:
-High School Diploma
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred but not required
