Job Purpose:
The VITA Client Intake Specialist plays a crucial role by interviewing all Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (VITA) applicants to assess their eligibility in accordance with established policies and procedures. They meticulously review intake forms, confirming their completeness, and extend a respectful welcome to clients. This Intake Specialist screens client information for eligibility and ensures the required documents are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, they monitor site traffic to guarantee each signed-in taxpayer receives adequate assistance while safeguarding the confidentiality of client information. Should any issues arise, they promptly report them to the Site Coordinator.
