Analyzes LAN/WAN and recommends upgrades/changes and security procedures and policies; assesses organization's current and future LAN/WAN needs. Being a LAN/WAN Integrator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The LAN/WAN Integrator typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a LAN/WAN Integrator typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. As a Systems Integrator you will be responsible for installing, upgrading and maintaining servers and server software. Ensuring that all systems are running optimally and troubleshoot issues as they occur. You will also be working with CISCO firewalls and associated switches. You should also have a good understanding of both internal (intra) and external (WAN) technologies. Travel to other facilities may be required from time to time. This is an on-site position.
