LAN/WAN Integrator is responsible for the overall plan, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of LAN/WAN integration into the network. Analyzes LAN/WAN and recommends upgrades/changes and security procedures and policies; assesses organization's current and future LAN/WAN needs. Being a LAN/WAN Integrator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The LAN/WAN Integrator typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a LAN/WAN Integrator typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Position Description: We are seeking a Mission Integrator that possess a mix of talent areas related to ELINT. As part of our team, you will work heavily with software developers and other mission integrator's who maintain various software systems. Our ideal candidate would possess a broad range of skills as our scope of work spans various technologies. Examples of technologies we are currently using to support our customers include Java, Linux, and ElasticSearch. Altamira Technologies Corporation encourages independent problem solving but also provides deep reach-back support and a collaborative environment for our engineering team. We are looking for candidates who have experience with supporting ELINT software systems and software development teams.
Role and Responsibilities
- Interpret mission needs and requirements to help developers produce user-friendly software systems
- Communicate with customers and other project stakeholders on a regular basis
- Interact with teammates and users through whiteboard sessions and/or design documents to establish circular feedback
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in one or more of the following: IT Support, Systems Administration, Software Debugging, Linux, & Team Communication
Abilities and Competencies
- TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Self-motivated and eager to work intently to satisfy mission requirements
- Adaptable and has the desire to maintain our company culture
- Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written communications
- Ability to multitask and adjust priorities as needed
