LAN Support supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN. Recommends and schedules repairs. Being a LAN Support provides end users support for all LAN- based applications. Installs and configures workstations. Additionally, LAN Support may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The LAN Support work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience/Requirements: No direct experience necessary; one year of paid or volunteer experience preferred; must be 18 years old; must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license; clean criminal history
Skills: Able to work independently and with others; competent oral and written communication skills; patience; compassion; adaptability; reliability; ability to work in a home-like setting with one or more individuals; ability to complete physical aspects of job including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
Working Conditions: This position may function within an individual’s home and/or community; travel to/from individual’s home required daily; must be able to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time; use of web-based technology, cell phone, and computer required.
Work Schedule: Hours are based on needs of the individual served and required trainings. This may include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and days with inclement weather.
