Experience: - Three (3) years of related experience in computer/network maintenance, desktop support, troubleshooting desktop Windows 10 environment, or applications support
OR
Combined education and experience qualifications: - An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience as outlined above may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
Other Requirements: - Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license at the time of hire.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows 10, desktop remote control tools, help desk ticketing systems, and networking protocols.
- Personal computing hardware and software, local area networks, and peripherals essentials.
- Laptop and Desktop image creation using various tools.
Skill in:
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and written, to technical and non-technical customers at all levels of the organization.
- Providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, demanding environment with attention to detail and a persistence to solve problems in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to:
- Configure, troubleshoot and fix basic technical problems.
- Think analytically and solve problems.
- Quickly learn new software applications.
- Provide coverage and address service requests to any departmental supported facility within Maricopa County.
- Work independently, while effectively managing time within a large and dynamic technical environment in the performance of daily activities.
- Address a wide range of tasks as directed.
Essential Job Tasks (This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.)
- Troubleshoots and resolves PC and peripheral device hardware and software-related problems with minimal supervision.
- Identifies and distinguishes common types of LAN and Internet connectivity problems and resolves them with little or no supervision.
- Applies standard diagnostic and troubleshooting principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in resolving user issues and technical problems.
- Updates notes in a help desk ticketing system from beginning to end to document steps taken to resolve customer issues.
- Documents issues and resolutions for team members.
- Provides and maintains a high level of customer service and communication while maintaining a patient, respectful, courteous, and professional demeanor.
- Proactively seeks ways to help customers, assist team members, resolve problems, and improve services delivered to customers.
Working conditions: Territory coverage throughout Maricopa County will require the use of a personal vehicle to and from work and all of the various work sites. Driving may vary throughout the locations of the Judicial Branch that Court Technology Services supports, including Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, Superior Court, and Justice Courts. Must be able to drive to assigned territory at the start of the shift. The assigned territory is based on the needs of the Judicial Branch and not based on the candidate's residence. Must be able to lift: 15 pounds floor to waist, 10 pounds waist to shoulder, and 5 pounds shoulder to overhead. Must be able to carry up to 15 pounds and push/pull a distance of 200 feet up to 50 pounds. The working environment will consist of both indoor and outdoor activities, including sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and driving.
Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
