Kitchen Manager manages the daily operations of the kitchen, which may include but not limited to: accounting, finance, staff working schedule, inventory control and equipment supplies. Responsible for employees' training. Being a Kitchen Manager oversees other departments that contribute to the operations of the kitchen. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Kitchen Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Kitchen Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory control, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Train and mentor staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of food quality.
- Monitor and enforce food safety and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Handle cash handling procedures, including cash register reconciliation and deposits.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create and update menu offerings based on customer preferences and market trends.
- Utilize Aloha POS system to manage orders, track sales, and generate reports.
- Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills and fostering a positive work environment.
Experience:
- Previous experience in restaurant management is required.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and ability to manage food costs effectively.
- Proficient in using POS system or similar restaurant management software.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and securely.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food service industry trends.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Passion for coffee and knowledge of different coffee brewing methods is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance.
