Kitchen Manager manages the daily operations of the kitchen, which may include but not limited to: accounting, finance, staff working schedule, inventory control and equipment supplies. Responsible for employees' training. Being a Kitchen Manager oversees other departments that contribute to the operations of the kitchen. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Kitchen Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Kitchen Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Kitchen Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     To be successful in this position you would need to possess a love for a tight, top notch dinner service, passion for wine, for beautiful food, and take pride in enforcing service, cleanliness standards.

    We are looking for someone for the long term. Ownership percentage is an option for the future for the right candidate.

    Assistant Manager Responsibilities Include :

    • Close the restaurant properly
    • Fantastic Communication skills with Owners / shift recap etc.
    • Ability to be the voice and presence of our restaurant standards without Owners present.
    • Train and mentor new staff members
    • Coordinate private dinners, table sections, think of everything.
    • Coordinate / Regulate kitchen output, timeliness or orders / servers.
    • Resolve customer questions and complaints professionally
    • Troubleshoot POS issues, equipment failure issues, staff missing issues
    • Cash register balancing at the end of every shift
    • Manage FLOW of the front of House, reservations, parties, staff breaks etc.
    • Delegate / Enforce Sidework duties, Cleaning Schedule
    • Order Wine / FOH goods
    • Help Develop guest relations

    Assistant Restaurant Manager Requirements :

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 3 years minimum previous management experience a MUST
    • 5 years total restaurant experience a MUST
    • Strong leadership skills with the capacity for development
    • Innovative and trustworthy
    • Ability to remain impartial during conflict
    • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays

    Compensation : 70-75K to start
