Summary

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring coordinated and effective warehouse, end-to-end supply chain, and inventory management supporting DLA Distribution Corpus Christi. The responsibilities encompass all aspects of the contract requirements, inclusive of safe and compliant daily operations as well as delivery of specific project initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timely completion and quality of work and services performed by Ahtna Logistics and its subcontractors.
• Provides supervision of personnel and day to day operations at multiple locations to include planning and managing the contract professionally, coaching and mentoring supervisors and leads by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the contractual effort.
• Ensure work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.
• Provides accurate and timely reports IAW the SOW.
• Provides effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in performance of the contract.
• Maintains accountability of Government and Contractor owned property
• Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program issues.
• Manages warehousing, shipping, receiving and procurement activities to ensure compliance and budget requirements are met and work is performed as scheduled at a fair and reasonable cost.
• Identify, quantify and deliver Continuous Improvement Opportunities.
• Engage Team in establishing a motivating and fulfilling work environment.
• Ensures all required training is complete and work is conducted safely.
• Maintain and execute the Quality Control (QC) Program.

Minimum Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in warehouse management
• Three (3) years experience in the last five (5) years using automated warehouse management systems equivalent to DSS, LMP, WMS, and Webflis
• Must have significant analytical, organizational, coordination, and communication skills to effectively balance and schedule competing priorities.
• Must have the knowledge and skills required to plan, control, and manage the work
• Must have experience and proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have a current driver’s license
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Distribution Management, Business Management or Business administration or have at least ten (10) years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, and inventory management

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk, including the ability to pass on information via the telephone, and verbally communicate with clients, staff and other employees, hear and see in order to perform his or her duties in a safe manner, including occasionally driving. The ability to lift up to 60 lbs., walk, bend, push, pull and stand is needed to perform all requirements of this position. Typically will have full dexterity of limbs to feel, reach, sit, kneel, stand, crawl or climb on small stepladders not to exceed 10 feet.

The work environment characteristics described in this job description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The work environment can vary from office/warehouse environment to field work outdoors depending on the mission and support required. Field work outdoors will be conducted under various weather conditions.

Work Schedule: Full Time-may be required to work beyond a weekly schedule on occasion
