By All Means is a performance-driven, forward-thinking beer manufacturer, multi-state distributor, and multi-restaurant taproom operations. We are seeking an industry-leading Controller to fulfill our financial operation needs and assist in guiding our company's future growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will provide leadership, actively participate in high-level meetings, set financial objectives, and address all-encompassing company needs.
The Controller will collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies in line with organizational goals. They will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with exceptional leadership and communication skills, strong analytical prowess, efficiency in multitasking, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. This role is pivotal in driving our company's financial success and contributing to its overall growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and performance metrics.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company has adequate funds to meet its obligations.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects as needed, providing financial expertise and analysis to drive decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and ethics, with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
