Rather than give you a long boring description of what it is you'd be doing, we'd like to describe what it is we are looking for, because we think you'll see how different it is. We are unique because we know you aren't going to be here forever, cause let’s face it, who wants to spray bugs the rest of their life? So that being the case, we want people who are looking to make good money in an entry level job. We expect that you'll stick around for three to five years, and then move on to what it is you plan on being when you "grow up." Don't get us wrong, we take this very seriously. But we want people who have their sights set high. Can you blame us? College students are great. In fact, we love them. We have become quite good at working around school schedules. So I guess what we are saying is we've had a position open up for a technician and we want to know if you think you'd be any good. If so, read on. If not, that's ok, our feelings aren't hurt.
Qualifications
When you see a spider, wasp, mouse or beetle do you...?
A. Scream like a little girl and run the opposite direction as fast as you can?
B. Freeze with fear and hope that that particular type of beetle is not the bite'n kind?
C. Jump on the nearest chair in hopes that mice can't jump?
D. Begin swatting the air while yelling "anaphylactic, anaphylactic!!!"?
If you answered yes to any of these.... I have one word for you... PAYBACK!!! We don't typically like people that have vendettas, but in this case, we'd like to see how many pests you can spray in one hour. Even if you don't have an ire for our eight legged little irritants, we think you may still be interested in helping those of our customers who do.This brings me to the requirements. I will list them in no particular order.
1. Willingness to be out and about all day and not stuck in an office.
2. A fantastic attitude. If your last employer/co-workers were EVER heard to say "He/she did nothing but complain!" We are not interested in you. Please don't apply if that was the case. And yes, we are going to call your previous employer and ask. We have lots of people who tell us that THEY weren’t responsible for their unhappiness at their previous job, and that it wasn't THEM it was their crabby previous employer. But let’s be honest, we're pretty sure it was you. Even if it wasn't, we are going to go ahead and assume it was because it’s not worth the gamble.
3. N0N sm0ker. This one should be self explanatory. If it's not, you probably smoke, and so... well, this is kind of awkward.
4. Clean background. No felonies. No anger management issues etc. If you do have some of these, I'd like to point out that the address (found in the "how to apply" section below) below is wrong. We've moved ;)
5. We have put number five separate from the others for one simple reason. BECAUSE IT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT!! What could be SO important as to necessitate so many capital letters? What single description of a person could be so comprehensive as to automatically get an interview? We can sum it up in just two words. GREAT PERSONALITY We don't want boring people that don't seem to get along with anyone. You have to be EXTREMELY PERSONABLE! In fact, we expect for you to make us laugh at least twice in your first interview. The reason this is SO important is because you have to meet with the most important part of our business... our customers. And we have found that they like fun, customer service oriented people.
