Cole's Jewelers is hiring for an experienced, knowledgeable, creative jeweler who takes what they do very seriously, conducts themselves professionally, and is passionate about the art of making and restoring jewelry of all kinds. Jeweler can expect to work with hand files, buffing wire, polishing wheels, crafting hand tools, torch, and laser. Jeweler should have exceptional knowledge of gems, metals, restoration, and assembly techniques and finishes.
Jeweler Requirements:
1. Solders pieces of jewelry together and enlarges or reduces size of rings, using soldering torch
2. Replacing broken clasps and mounting
3. Experience with laser welders and torch
4. Repairs, reshapes, and restyles jewelry by replacing broken parts or using hand tools and machines
5. Smoothes soldered joints and rough spots, and polishes with polishing wheel
6. Position stones and metal pieces, and set mount, and secure items in place, using setting and hand tools
7. Examine assembled or finished products to ensure conformance to specifications, using magnifying glasses or precision measuring instruments (measure dimensions of completed products or work pieces)
