Java Developer

SUMMARY

Java developer provides application design guidance and consultation. Utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Analyze highly complex business requirements
• Design and write technical specifications to design and redesign complex computer platforms and applications
• Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code
• Acts as expert technical resources for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

4 years application development and implementation experience

Proficient in Java, HTML and JavaScript

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS and other assets:

• Perform data analysis, using in-depth knowledge of databases with the proven ability to understand data, it's relationships to other data and relationships to business concepts.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and complete artifacts, including solution design support.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams regarding enhancements, changes, issues and defects that may impact development, data, workflow and/or functionality.
• Effectively communicate with many levels of the organization, business stakeholders, project managers, developers, system architects, quality assurance, operations, etc.
• Document, discuss and resolve business, data and reporting issues within the team, across functional teams, and with business stakeholders
