What's the role?

• Contributing to automation of testing activities like Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Database testing etc.
• Acctively participate in  test progressions, test executions, reporting and recommendations
• Analyzing defects escaped through testing activities
• Identifying areas of improvements
• Technical leadership
• Leading the QA team in designing automation test procedures.
• Overseeing the drafting of testing documents.Reviewing Quality Assurance reports, estimating and developing testing strategies
• Develop In depth understanding of domain Specifications along with Technical Know How about Processes
• Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
• Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.
• Develop/Maintain automation frameworks for all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Develop/Maintain automation scripts with test automation tools like Selenium
• Execute batches of automation test scripts and suites
• Suggest & implement automated solutions for test process improvement.
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Design and maintain Test Plan and automation testing documentations
• Strong process-oriented skills and a focus on deadline achievement
• Assist in building automation libraries supporting the test automation tool / framework with the objective to improve the testing process
• Author, code, execute, and debug integration and acceptance test cases that execute locally and within a CI infrastructure and/or container.
• Collaborate with cross functional groups including Software Development, Operations Engineering, Software Launch and Software users to create and execute test matrices (test scenarios and test scripts) based on software requirements and tool functionality

Who are you?

• Bachelor’s degree (3-4 years - professional college: Technical / Engineering streams) with major/minor in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science/ Engineering or related science/technology field
• 3 Years of experience in test and defect management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, Zypher etc.
• 2-3  Years of experience in one or more test automation tools like Selenium, QTP, Cypress etc.
• Ability to solve complex test automation and solutioning tasks beyond standard capabilities of test automation tools
• Experience with load and performance testing with tools like JMeter is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as, Java, Python or JavaScript.
• Hands on experience with IDE’s like Eclipse, IntelliJ etc, and Maven is required
• Demonstrable experience in frameworks like TestNG, POM, Robot.
• Experience in API automation with Rest Assured, SOAP UI is an added advantage
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Gitlab is a huge plus.
• Mobile testing and automation experience is good to have.
• Proficient Knowledge of testing related metrics and standard practices
• Desired testing certifications viz. ISTQB, CSTE, CP-SAT, CP-MAT etc.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with Good written and verbal communication skills
• Innovative mindset with an ability to proactively come up with technical solutions.
