    The Candidate and Responsibilities 

     

    The Investor Relations Manager position is based out of Vancouver.    

     

    Applicants for this position will be self-motivated individuals with a high degree of initiative and will possess strong interpersonal skills, be attentive to detail, and able to build trusting relationships. 

     

    The candidate will report directly to the Senior Director of Investor Relations and work in conjunction with the Partners, Investments, Asset Management and Finance and Accounting departments.  

     

    The Investor Relations Manager will be active in the following primary responsibilities both in an individual and team setting:  

     

     Fundraising 

     

    • Supporting in the creation of private equity fund (or other initiatives) and fundraising materials (PPM, fund documents, presentations, etc)  
    • Coordinating with 3rd party fundraisers where applicable 
    • Supporting in the coordination of the Partners to present investment opportunities to prospective investors and JV partners 
    • Assist in the fostering of Senior Director of Investor Relations and Partner relationships with investors and potential JV partners 
    • Work closely on the investor database and identify potential investors for a given investment strategy where applicable 
    • Assist in the scheduling meetings and following up with investors as needed 
    • Coordinating investor due diligence requests and data room when required 

     

    Fund Closing and Operations:  

     

    • Ensure that all investor deliverable due dates are tracked and delivered on time  
    • Communications and regular reporting to investors and investment partners where required 
    • Working with other HP team members in reviewing quarterly reports and special reports where required  
    • Play a large part in the Capital Call and Distribution process with the SVP of Finance and Accounting 
    • Assist with the preparation of Advisory Board meetings and approvals  
    • Assist with the preparation of Investment Committee meetings  
    • Assist with the preparation of Annual Meetings for each Fund  
    • Assist with the preparation of Investor Meetings, quarterly and ad hoc 
    • Assisting with the investor closings of the Funds and other fundraising projects 
    • Understand and ongoing review compliance requirements of the Fund agreements where applicable 
    • Ensuring timely responses to investor questions and coordinating responses with Senior Director of Investor Relations and Partners where applicable.

     Competencies, Qualifications and Required Experience 

     

    • Bachelor or higher degree in business, marketing, finance or related field is required  
    • Understanding and passions for real estate industry and/or private equity is a benefit 
    • Deep understanding of basic fund marketing and fundraising principles 
    • Solid relationships with institutional investors, pension funds and /or high net worth individuals is a benefit 
    • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
