Job Title: Senior Kitchen General Manager
Reports to: Senior Group General Manager-Operations
Pay: $105-$110K
Shift: TBD
Job Purpose: The Senior Kitchen General Manager for is responsible for planning,
measuring, and developing improvement plans in the Cheese, Kitchen,
Ripening and R and D areas. Will work with each facility to ensure
compliance to procedures, and will track the results on the company
accounting reports. These will be reviewed periodically for all locations,
and improvements developed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate the operation of each location and cost structure.
2. Ensure proper processes are followed for demand planning, in order to meet customer requirements.
3. Forecast costs for each location, based on material usage, labor and
miscellaneous costs. Lead each location in developments of improvement opportunities.
4. Identify and implement process improvements related to vendors, work with
purchase teams and operations teams for implementation.
5. Coordinate with Product Development on the introduction of new products, in
regards to timeline, cost and implementation.
6. Position requires extensive travel at times, visiting vendors and Kitchen
locations.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Cheese
1. Evaluate all operations cost and overhead for locations.
2. Develop cost saving plans and work with the teams on implementation.
3. Oversee the operations of the Cheese department
4. Oversee the preparations and the development of the organic system plans on
the cheese operations and its continuity.
5. Oversee the receiving process for the cheese department and ensuring the
teams are receiving accurate pounds.
6. Oversee the training, re training and improvement across all locations
7. Other duties as assigned.
Ripening
1. Evaluate all operations cost and overhead for locations.
2. Develop cost saving plans and work with the teams on implementation.
3. Oversee the operations of the ripening department
4. Oversee the preparations and the development of the organic system plans on
the Ripening operations and its continuity.
5. Oversee the inventory of all locations to ensure it remains at 100% accountably.
6. Oversee the development of the process as we continue to grow.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to review data and summarize the information.
Able to communicate using written and verbal with teams and all management levels.
Experience in Food Processing or Packaging.
Understanding of MRP and WMS processes.
Education and/or Experience:
Experiencing with planning labor and material requirements for an operation.
Understanding of Accounting Reports and concepts.
Experience with food packaging, quality and safety requirements.
Experience with produce and perishable items
Experience with the Quality system plan
Computer Skills:
Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office, Excel and WMS system literacy
High level of computer and MRP system – SAP preferred.
Knowledgeable and proficient in Gold stock
Reasoning Ability:
Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
