    Summary

    Manages and has 24-hour responsibility for maintenance in a manufacturing environment including maintenance material storage & handling, and labor. Ensures teams are executing activities that safely deliver high quality machine reliability, efficient production support methods, and a continual focus on cost controls. Coordinates all maintenance activities on plant equipment and machinery. Responsible for developing technical skills and promoting teamwork within maintenance function. Develops strategic business initiatives in partnership with capital planning and budgets. Establishes predictive maintenance models to increase equipment utilization and efficiencies, with a focus in enhancing the bottom line.

    Implements quality improvement strategies.

    Ensures standard operating procedures are written and followed for maintenance activities.

    Works closely with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering departments to maximize results in areas of quality, cost and agility.

    Develops and implements Total Productive Maintenance systems for Closure Division.

    Develops, implements and manages work order system to prioritize improvement activities and maximize efficiency of completion.

    Involved in equipment selection, development and implementation.

    Researches manufacturing technologies and preventive maintenance systems relevant to position.

    Reduces equipment downtime with appropriate preventative maintenance procedures.

    Coordinates with manufacturing requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Evaluates needed improvement activities to available internal resources.

    Optimizes maintenance strategies and costs.

    Leads assigned process area and product group effectively.

    Applies "Situational Leadership" techniques and sets goals, plans actions, gives feedback and solves problems.

    Develops a sense of ownership within manufacturing team.

    Ensures development of skills and trainings are provided as needed to support changing manufacturing processes at Closure Division.

    Ensures customer satisfaction through product quality, delivery and handling special customer requirements.

    Implement manufacturer recommended PMs/routine tasks for new lines and improve PMs on existing technology in a streamlined, cost effective method.

    Responsible for organizational maintenance policies and procedures, including meeting or exceeding Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) standards.

    Oversees, designates work to, monitors and evaluates the performance of maintenance support teams (such as technician maintenance support, engineers, or facilities coordinators) to ensure seamless integration and successful operation of manufacturing equipment, disposal systems, and building maintenance.

    Provides leadership to local educators in the field of industrial maintenance education to facilitate the development of well-trained people as a potential pool of candidates for maintenance and operations roles.

    Responsible for the development of the Predictive Maintenance programs that will standardize, improve, and sustain equipment up time across multiple departments and gain alignment with best practices.

    Manages the maintenance parts inventory process, ensuring optimal levels machine and equipment parts are on hand while driving out costs associated with holding parts with diminished or no value.

    Responsible for continuously driving Cost Savings through leveraging technology and supplier negotiations to contribute to a more competitive business position Responsible for organizational maintenance policies and procedures, including meeting or exceeding Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) .

    Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.

    If accountable for the work of others, conducts performance evaluations; reviews and communicates salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of maintenance experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of maintenance experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree plus 11 years maintenance experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility

    7 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably with packaging materials.

    Skilled in the use of MS Word and Excel at an intermediate level.

    Skilled in quantifying impact of actions and results.

    Listens and responds with empathy. Asks for help and encourages involvement.

    Detail oriented; focuses on achieving results.

    Skilled in using team based skills to lead people in manufacturing environment.

    Skilled in using statistics, analytical ability, computer capabilities, and experience with quality specifications.

    Compensation

    1. Hiring Salary Range: $127,500 - $159,400.
    2. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
