About the Opportunity The VP/Head of Investment Risk Management and Portfolio Analytics plays a critical role in overseeing the risk management strategies and portfolio analytics of Franklin Equity Group. This role requires strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of risk management principles, advanced analytical techniques to ensure optimal decision making in investment strategies and risk mitigation, and proven leadership capabilities. What are the ongoing responsibilities of this role? Oversee development of tools and techniques to analyze and display portfolio risks and their integration into portfolio construction and management. Collaborate with investment teams to ensure risk metrics align with investment objectives and regulatory requirements. Present our risk management philosophy and processes to clients and internal partners. Ensure all direct investment portfolios conform to performance expectations, investment guidelines, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements. Serve as the key contact for FT’s independent risk team, and other investment professionals. Manage team of investment risk management professionals What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? 10 years’ experience in management of investment risk, portfolio analytics, or related field within financial services industry. Master's or doctoral degree in finance, economics, quantitative finance, or a related field. Additional certifications such as CFA or FRM preferred. Proficiency in Northfield, Barra, FactSet, Bloomberg or similar investment data. Demonstrated experience in leadership or managerial role required. Advanced knowledge of statistical theory and a good understanding of financial instruments and markets. Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to adjust and manipulate data to discover trends and relationships. Experience communicating complex financial topics with the ability to successfully articulate quantitative concepts to audience(s) unfamiliar with those same concepts. Experience consulting with financial professionals, including Portfolio Managers and Chief Investment Officers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Proven leadership abilities to lead, inspire, and challenge team toward shared objectives. Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary, benefits and variable rewards will reflect the seniority of the position and a competitive market rate.
