Investment Manager manages the securities, assets, and investment portfolios of a bank. Establishes investment policies to ensure financial activities are compliant with regulatory standards and requirements. Being an Investment Manager monitors and tracks financial markets, investment trends, and regulatory developments to implement successful investment strategies and recommends changes to manage risk and increase returns. Oversees and routinely assesses portfolio allocation to evaluate performance and alignment with investment objectives, strategies, and risk tolerance levels. Additionally, Investment Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Investment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Investment Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Terraces at Dekalb is looking for a Leasing Agent to present and lease units to qualified candidates. As a Leasing Agent you will be responsible for leasing apartments to prospective residents. This includes following up with assigned prospects, showing units, and assisting with applications and online registration.
Essential Job Duties
- Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants to help secure rental agreement
- Maintain awareness of apartment inventory, pricing, and availability
- Sell prospective residents on the unit features, company service, and signing a lease
- Confirm rental application data and personal references to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with Property Managers on unit availability and grounds upkeep
- Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically to maintain our level of company standards
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a customer-contact capacity or customer-service role is preferred
- Past real estate leasing experience preferred
- High level of energy and a “people person” who enjoys communicating with prospective residents
- Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedule - specifically weekends and weekdays after 5pm
Base Salary: $35,360
Commissions: $100 per new lease signed
Bonus Pool paid quarterly!
