Investment Manager manages overall bank's investment portfolio. Reviews investment strategy, seeks out new opportunities, and recommends changes in investments to manage risk and generate acceptable rate of return. Being an Investment Manager measures and evaluates return on investment and trends that may impact the portfolio. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Investment Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Investment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Investment Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gotion is looking for an Investment Manager with Financial modelling ability and high proficiency in related computer languages. Ability to both learn, teach and guide junior analysts. The candidate must have advanced Excel modelling abilities. Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python a plus. Versed in the field of investment management, with experience that covers the entirety of the investment cycle, with an emphasis on research, pre-investment analysis, execution to post-investment management.
Required Qualifications:
- Research and analytical background required, knowledge and experience across different asset class/deal and structure/industry preferred
- Financial modelling ability and high proficiency in related computer languages, ability to both learn and teach,
- Ability to guide junior analysts
- Must have advanced Excel modelling abilities
- Experience in the field of investment management, with experience that covers the entirety of the investment cycle, with an emphasis on research, pre-investment analysis, execution to post-investment management
- Experienced with risk management
- Capability to formulate thesis into an actual investment strategy
- Experience with Financial Modeling, Due Diligence and Transaction
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of combined experience in relevant industry and investment
- Master’s degree
- Experience in overseas subsidiary is preferred
- Experience in post-deal integration is preferred
