Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Investment Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Investment Analyst contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Who You Are

    You have a real passion for investments! You will be involved in all aspects of the investment management process and will report to the SVP, Trust & Investment Group Manager. This is a key role for Bank of Ann Arbor clients as it supports our goal in providing clients with an integrated wealth management solution. The Analyst will support the team by doing quantitative analysis of individual securities, industry segments, or other potential investment opportunities.

    Who You Are

    • Provide support enabling Portfolio Managers to provide effective strategies, solutions and optimal levels of service that exceed client expectations.
    • Focus on trading, rebalancing, portfolio construction, asset allocation and portfolio execution.
    • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned securities or sectors to assist in the development of investment strategies for one or more portfolios.
    • Collects and interprets price, yield, stability, or other financial metrics.
    • Continues deep expertise in financial markets and other related areas while also participating on or contributing to various investment committees.
    • Maintains compliance with all internal policies and procedures, including but not limited to Reg 9 reviews and other compliance reporting functions
    • Reviews, monitors, and modifies investment portfolio construction in accordance with client objectives and investment policy, initiates portfolio construction changes consistent with investment strategy.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

    Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time but most work is done from a seated position. The ability to meet with clients outside of the work environment is required. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to attend business meeting/dinners and entertain clients. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed printouts and computer screen. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. Deadlines, disgruntled customers, workloads during peak periods and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels and additional work hours.

    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
