Inventory Control Supervisor jobs in Provo, UT

Inventory Control Supervisor supervises inventory control operations and teams according to established policies. Follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Being an Inventory Control Supervisor assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Utilizes Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Inventory Control Supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities using best inventory management practices. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Inventory Control Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Inventory Control Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Required Qualifications

    • Fluid in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to E-Verify
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse, and/or manufacturing environment
    • Minimum of 1 year previous inventory /receiving supervisory experience
    • Knowledge of efficient and safe warehousing practices
    • Knowledge in Lean processes
    • Strong computer skills
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs (as needed)
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate information and/or instructions
    • Delivers detail, goal oriented, accurate and organized results under pressure
    • Values and encourages a diverse and inclusive work environment

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Educate team on Distribution Center guiding principles, and strategy
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of inwards processes, quality control, inventory control, and techniques for maximizing productivity
    • Assist in maintaining appropriate standards, evaluating operational performance in the areas of responsibility
    • Ensure all client metrics are consistently met or exceeded
    • Lead the team to operate in an efficient manner so that inwards processes meet or exceed minimum productivity standards on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
    • Manage work assignments of team members to maximize productity
    • Ensure non billable team member hours are managed to a minimum
    • Actively engage with Inwards Manager to develop and excute daily plan to ensure minimum productivity standards are exceeded
    • Communicate any issues /concerns to the Inwards Manager in a timely manner and actively participate in developing a plan and corrective action
    • Reinforce a culture focused on collaboration, positity and safety throughout the facility
    • Communicate clearly, professionally, and concisely with all audiences; keep others informed and listen carefully to input and feedback
    • Work with Distribution Center leadership team to execute standard operating procedures
    • Ensure safe and efficient use and maintenance of facility equipment
    • Ensure Inwards team members are current in People and Tasks (PaT) tasks and training
    • Reinforce safety and cleaning schedules that ensure the facilities compliance with corporate, OSHA and Safety standards / polices
    • Ensure supplies needed to operate business on a daily basis are monitored and adjusted appropriately
    • Actively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations
    • Educate team and assist in implementation of Lean princlples to drive efficiency and quality into processes
    • Actively lead and or participate in root cause problem solving to drive process improvement
    • Ensure distribution center team members operate in an efficient, productive, accurate and professional manner
    • Maintain proper staffing levels, staff schedules, oversee hourly staff training; Plan needs based on projected projects and volume
    • Maintain a constant presence in the work area to support and lead warehouse staff
    • Ensure integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
    • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and alignment of qualified and diverse talent
    • Develop people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals
    • Encourage employee feedback and a culture of “Rasing Your Hand” to maintain a trusting and inclusive environment of open two-way communication, inclusivity, collaboration and continuous improvement
    • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirement

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
