What you’ll do:

The Inventory Controls Supervisor position is responsible for the management of the optimal flow of parts from receiving, to line side consumption and is primarily a shop floor-based role that requires the constant drive for improvement in all areas of material handling, including compliance of documented policies and procedures.

The person shall provide leadership and change management skills in a fast pace, multi-task environment and direct the activities of materials associates involved in the receiving, stocking, picking and timely movements within the warehouse and shop floor and help move the culture and team to the highest level of performance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading all Inventory Control Team Leads (inventory cycle counting teams and materials distribution) and Associates. Team leadership to include outlining clear expectations for Team Leads and team members and consistently addressing holding individuals accountable.
• Supporting and train team members to understand & consistently apply the principle of “Plan for Every Part”
• Leading all inventory activities, including validation, settlement, and inventory reconciliation including annual physical inventories
• Leading and managing physical inventory and cycle counting activities
• Consistently maintaining accurate inventory levels
• Execution of safety requirements including all required safety training for all direct reports
• Collaborating with manufacturing engineering to enable optimal delivery routes and the visual management systems required to support assembly processes
• Building strong relationships with the operations, engineering and quality teams to ensure smooth handoff processes
• Performing other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent broad work experience to demonstrate full capability is required
• 5 years materials leadership in complex materials environment
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Proficient on ERP/MRP, MS Office and PC network applications
• Prior experience with supporting assembly operations by implementing flexible staffing approaches
