Being an Inventory Control Supervisor assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Utilizes Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Inventory Control Supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities using best inventory management practices. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Inventory Control Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Inventory Control Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. What you’ll do:
The Inventory Controls Supervisor position is responsible for the management of the optimal flow of parts from receiving, to line side consumption and is primarily a shop floor-based role that requires the constant drive for improvement in all areas of material handling, including compliance of documented policies and procedures.
The person shall provide leadership and change management skills in a fast pace, multi-task environment and direct the activities of materials associates involved in the receiving, stocking, picking and timely movements within the warehouse and shop floor and help move the culture and team to the highest level of performance.
