Inventory Control Supervisor supervises inventory control operations and teams according to established policies. Follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. PURPOSE:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the inventory control team through reporting,
audits coaching and inventory optimization. This position will collaborate closely with Operations leadership to meet inventory
goals. The Supervisor will address inventory escalations with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Customer Experience and
vendors as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversees the inventory control daily operations including inventory management, researching, and resolving inventory
inquiries and processing adjustments as needed.
• Reviews and processes financial adjustments to inventory as needed
• Develop and maintain slotting and capacity optimization
• Conduct routine audits on cycle counters & inventory to ensure standard operating procedures are followed
• Reviews and actions inventory reporting including but not limited to Dock/Trailer Report Review, MY529 NWXD Exception
Report
• Manage outside storage process
• Perform non-warehouse cross-dock research
• Coaches and trains associates on inventory processes including managing talent and performance.
• Partners with local Operations leadership to meet inventory and service level goals
• Performs other relevant job duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications: (Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or preferred)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred
• Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment
Experience:
• 3-5 years of relevant inventory control experience or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years of warehouse experience required
Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including slotting system required
• Proficient with reporting methods related to tracking inventory
Skills/ Abilities:
• Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
• Strong communication skills; both written and oral applications
• Strong interpersonal skills; must be motivated and take initiative.
• Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
• Some travel may be required
• Ability to lift between 40-60 pounds daily and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37
degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform
job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability
to adjust focus.
