Inventory Control Manager manages inventory control operations. Implements policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being an Inventory Control Manager employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Additionally, Inventory Control Manager implements Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Inventory Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Inventory Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Inventory Control   Position Summary: The primary function of Inventory Control is to manage inventory through database and maintain levels required daily to meet distribution demands.   Duties & Responsibilities: Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database. Close shop packets received and purge computer database. Receive and issue finished goods into computer database. Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel. Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired. Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights. Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.   Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of related work experience Strong Microsoft office skills Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Control   Core Competencies: Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity. Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.   Required Cognitive Skills: Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks. Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.  Must be able to multitask. Must be able to receive and analyze information. Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
